Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. To deliver the pages, Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical request data and may log them for security. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in delivering the site safely. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which covers the transfer to the USA.

Counting visits

To learn what works, the page counts anonymous events such as "page viewed", "checkout started" and "payment completed". Each event adds 1 to a counter at Abacus (abacus.jasoncameron.dev), a free counting service that may be operated outside the EU. The request carries only the event name. Like any web request it reaches the service from your IP address; we never receive your IP address and build no profile. Nothing is stored on your device for counting, and no cookies are used. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used.

What is stored on your device

Nothing, unless you buy. noble_exclude, only in the owner's own browser, so the owner's visits are not counted.

Payments

When you open the payment step, the PayPal script loads from paypal.com. PayPal processes your payment as an independent controller under its own privacy statement. We receive your order ID, the amount, and the payer details PayPal shares with sellers (name, email address, country). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of the contract) and Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (tax law). We keep payment records for 10 years, as German tax law requires (Section 147 AO).

Email and support

If you write to us, we use your message and order ID only to answer you. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for questions about a purchase, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete support messages after 2 years unless tax law requires longer storage.

Your content

Your answers are turned into an email by code in your browser; nothing is sent to us while you fill in the form. When you press send after paying, your name, email address, chosen city, email text and attachment go to our sending service on Cloudflare Workers (Cloudflare, Inc., USA, certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) and are kept in its storage only until the last email has gone out, at most 72 hours, then deleted. The emails are delivered by Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., USA) as our processor; Resend keeps delivery logs (recipient, subject, status) under its own retention rules. Legal basis: performing our contract with you, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. We keep the PayPal order ID to stop it being used twice and for our accounts.

Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). Write to mario@studyfinderai.com. You may complain to a data protection authority, for example Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen, Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover.

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): where we process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation. Write to mario@studyfinderai.com.

There is no automated decision-making or profiling. You do not have to give us any data to use the free parts of the site; buying requires the payment data PayPal shares.
